Re: [Avid-L2] Cinedeck App for inserting into QT

I believe they can also edit into files that aren't made on their machines but it requires some processing time for the Cinedeck to structure the 3rd party file into a format they can insert in to.

P.s. I'm inclined to trust Cinedeck (the makers of this software) because their recorders are the best I've ever seen for an Avid post workflow.  Some time ago they introduced insert editing in their recorders; i.e. their hardware could insert new audio/video into a file previously recorded on their machines.  They are smart people.

This is an incredibly valuable tool for anybody who delivers files of long-form shows.  $1495 isn't out of line; if you need it, there's nothing else out there.

Actually a decent price for what it gets you if you know you'll use it often and how much time and effort it will save you. I know a few people who've been waiting for this…
