I have also been curious about the lack of streaming of Nerd panels from NAB.  I'm stuck at work this year but in past years when I couldn't make it a simple google and I found some Convention Floor update panels and various streaming channels.  It was actually quite fun to find the bastion of Nerd Panels that were talking about what they had seen at the show.  My favorite was a bunch of Ham Radio types talking about how to make a dipole antenna with Coax and wire in a tree.  In past years I seems to see many of these options.  This year I only found some vendor stuff and the NAB.com channel that had an interesting panel with Ang Lee on a 120 FPS 3D project of his.  I want the real nitty nerd gritty from the off beat panels like I found before. 

Anybody got any good links for the offbeat techno geek crowd?

Has there been a quieter NAB? Not there this year but I remember when I stayed back in the past I was inundated with emails and advertisements for deals. Not only has the list been quiet, but the only spams are coming from Rampant and B&H. Other than those, I would never know NAB was even going on.
