Avid and Adobe were once the same size, with similar prospects. Avid has been left in the dust.
Adobe Is now 10 times the company that Avid ever will be. Avid hasn't broken the $1B revenue mark and struggles to do 1/2 that now.
Even at its "cheap" $7 price tag, Avid's stock is a wild 170x its earnings. Adobe is 70x. Nvidia is 30x. Apple is 10x.

What justifies this kind of multiple? And the high CEO pay? Nothing, in my opinion.
Those other companies all have "visions" and are far better run. They show better growth, and balance sheets. And, arguably, better products.
Here's hoping that some of Avid's refugees find a better gig- at companies like these. (Think Van Bedient, at Adobe).
