In light of this thread I played around with exports on my SNDX 6.5.4.7 Mac system at work. For my current project there is XDCam native material combined with DNX 175X. Because of the Long GOP material Avid does not allow a same as source export. I have to make a custom export choosing DNX 175X. Now the audio gets weird because in the QT player dialogue box that comes up when adjusting the custom format there is no choice for 4 discrete tracks like there usually is when I'm working with QT reference movies. The choices are Quadrophnic and 4.0 and a slew of others but in my tests even with just tone they aren't working right. What's up with the lack of a 4 discrete in the audio setting in the QT interface? I've selected linear PCM as always but the choice just isn't there and the direct out choice set in the Avid export setting seems to be ignored. Never use this workflow but something seems messed up here.

In that case, do a 'Dual Mono' mixdown of 5 & 6 and put the resulting two tracks on tracks 2 & 3. Delete any other tracks.
