There's an Antique Phonograph Music Program on WFMU.

I think the guy who runs that show could help with the 78s. He advertises a transfer service on his website (and he's an Avid editor!)

I'd find a local audiophile club and ask if there are members with a 78 rpm turntable setup. Most clubs around the country include lots of vinyl nuts. The biggest vinyl guru is Michael Fremer at Analog Planet (who was a sound editor early in his career). You could ask him for a recommendation in your area. http://www.analogplanet.com
