You can play a 78 but it won't be kind on your pickup it's a wide mono track as opposed to the vector cut on hifidelity 45 recordings.

Actually most people say you can't hear the difference between a 78 and a 45 unless you sit very close and play very loud...

No 78 on our turntable. So I thought I could just capture at 45 or 33 and do the conversion in ProTools. Then I remembered there was a separate needle for 78s. You had to flip it over (age showing) when you played a 78 on an old turntable. So I'm checking around to see if anyone I know has one.
