Well, Steve, if you want WYSIWYG menus, look at the New Blue Tilter plug-in. Unfortunately, even though you get a preview, many fonts just do not work at all. Further, many of the Mac shortcuts we've learned to enter alternative characters (copyright, bullet, quotation marks etc) do not work either. Subject: [Avid-L2] FR: (feature request): Today's pain point: Fonts in Title tool
Granted, Title Tool has been feature locked since about 1980, but could we PLEASE have a WYSIWYG font menu? It's in all of the Adobe products and it is just SO SO SO useful. The list of fonts in the Title Tool is basically useless.
Even the mighty and powerful Marquee tool is similarly hampered (and feature locked since about 1999.). For both of these, can we SEE the fonts as they look? Or you know what would be cooler, to allow you to cycle through font choices with the arrow button while altering your currently typed and selected text. (also a feature I think Adobe can do.)
