Re: [Avid-L2] End of Year Tax Time Purchases?

I like the OFX Boris bcc plugins with resolve - especially with smart cache.

Wow that's a hot tip.  Wonder why it's half price at Apple Store?  Is it always that price or is it a sale?

I just realized it's time to buy stuff for my company before the fiscal year ends.  Often times I've used this time of year as an excuse to pick up plugin packages etc...  Last year or so I think it was Greg H. that had mentioned a deal on Red Giant plugin packages or some other plugin package that was 50% off at the time.  Anybody know of any door buster type deals on usefull plugins for Avid, Adobe, Resolve?

I think I'm finally going to spring for a full Resolve license as I see the need for 4K will probably be crawling up my arse in the future.  I'm also looking into the Neat Video cleanup software that was mentioned a few weeks back.  I think there is an Avid compatible AVX plugin and a Resolve version but perhaps an Adobe version would be more versatile.  I recently took advantage of the DNxIO trade in deal so I have the potiential to output 4K if I ever hook it up.  I'm such a Sony OLED fan I'm contemplating a new PVM-2541 ish that I think is 4K compatible.  What other 4K monitors are people using?  I'm not a big fan of the HDMI path as I'm always using my SDI scope but I may have to rethink that.  I'm also a big fan of Tektronix so I have to start thinking about a 4K scope.  I'm not a fan of the Ultrascope but anybody got a cost conscious suggestion for a 4K scope, when I take the 4K scope plunge I hope it will be Tektronix but I'd have to find a good deal to justify that.

So it's time for everybody to help me spend some green.  I've got the pen ready and all the talk about college tuition from my wife is being ignored for the moment while I concentrate on tax write offs.  ;-)
