Don't bother waiting for USB 3.1 unless you're using SSDs. In real-world use, 7200rpm spinning drives won't exceed USB 3.0 bandwidth in a quad-striped RAID 0 array (not to mention RAID 5 or any other parity configuration.)

They are incredibly slow and expensive for what you get though they are fairly idiot-proof.
