[Avid-L2] Re: AMA transcode newb question

A number of options here.

With the current MC version you have the option in the Source setting for an AMA clip to have MC treat the clip at it's native framerate of play at the project framerate (audio is adjusted)

This gives you the ability to play 24fps at 25fps so duration will be less but it's frame for frame.

Its possible with 29.97 or 30 fps but obviously more noticeable.

If duration has to be retained then you have to promote the motion effect on the clip in the timeline to fluid motion first. Then render at whatever resolution you need.

There is an option in Transcode to keep the sources framerate (you will have to then use one of the new DNxHR resolutions) and you can then still use a fluidmotion motion effect after transcode.
