The problem I see with the way this 'freelance' licence works is that I would need to be very sure of my future work dates if I was to take my licence with me.
For example, let's say I had my home workstation with the Baselight plugin activated for the week, and I get a call to grade on Baselight the next day. The way I read the information on the Filmlight web site is that I would need to wait for the week's activation to expire before I could use it elsewhere. The only way around this would be to make all my activations 1 day only - a bit of a pain.
I have a subscription to antivirus software (where I hold 5 seats) and I can go to my account settings at any time and change which computers can hold a valid licence. I can also free up a space so that I can subsequently go to any computer and simply type in my serial number to gain full antivirus protection on that machine. This system would would be far better for handling software activation in the freelancer's often unpredictable world of work.
