If the Slate is the middle priced surface they showed at NAB that was around 10K IIRC. It's too bad in this day and age that is viewed as too much. I have an Artist Color but I realize if I really was hammering on color correction day in and day a full tilt panel would pay for itself in time saved and better efficiency overall. The bean counters never take that into consideration as they only look at how much some things cost not how much they save in the long run. Just hurdle in the race to the bottom.

We tested it with the Filmlight Baselight plugin and it was surprisingly responsive.
The Filmlight Slate is what you want, really, but it's not a bad budget option.

My artist color is pretty useless even in resolve. Maybe needs a firmware update?

Indeed; with the Baselight plugin and the Artist Color panel it is quite the budget grading suite in Media Composer.

No. Still virtually useless with Symphony. Works fine with Resolve and Baselight though.
