Re: [Avid-L2] credit rolls

The few times I've created rollers, in SD 60i projects, there were "good" speeds to use to avoid jittering, typically a multiple or fraction of 4 pixels per frame vertical movement. This was in DS, where we could set two keyframes (set 1, move up 4 pixels, set 2) with no ease-in or ease-out, and extrapolate the animation slope. I don't know how MC does this, but I thought the info might help.

well, I understood it was about jitter.

For the OP, if there is no speed change in the roll, try creating it in Photoshop, add a vertical (directional) blur, exaggerate it a bit (and of course try multiple versions), and render in AE.
It really does wonder on the jitter,

Motion blur's not likely to make it any more legible though, which is surely the point.

Watching at best resolution in the timeline, on my Flanders, my Samsung client monitor and the Sony CRT all seem jittery. Is there a way to smooth it out even at a fast speed?
