Your right I probably should have pref fessed my comment with "Word Bro, Byte Me!!!" Then I'd be covered up to 16 bits. ;-)

Probably because 'Byte me' would only work for single channel error in an 8 bit RGB signal but also because they are still sore about the lightening scope and bowtie display.

I was wondering why I keep getting updates for Media Info. I've had something like 6 or so in the last month or so. At a Tektonix seminar last night I learned the Tek Aurora File Based QC system uses media info software in part of the program to display a files information. Apparently Tektronix keeps finding bugs with the Media Info part of the application and passes them on to the developer. Hence all the updates. I just got another one today.
I also learned that Tek hopes to have a dead/defective Pixel detector test sometime next year. Can't wait to get even more QC notes. I do find it interesting how they set thresholds of blur in a files image to detect encoder errors etc... There are a lot of new terms for me in the file based QC world. Although when I suggested "Byte Me" as a proper automated response to the new automatic dead pixel detection I don't think they were amused as much as I was. ;-)John Moore Barking Trout Productions Studio City, CA bigfish@...
