Be better if they spent time on code to fix MXFs :)
I suspect the problem relates more to a single dead frame rather than broken headers and I doubt any of us would want to wait for a real time play through off rushes to check them.

Understood.
Unfortunately, Avid clearly has no interest in expending a "breeze" amount of energy to address this -- even though the problem costs its clients hours and days of wasted energy, not to mention missed deadlines.
