I had occasion to create an SD project today in MC 8.4.1. I always considered PAL to be 720x576 (non-square) and NTSC to be 720x486 (or 480 for DV). Creating a new project in 8.4.1 offers a PAL raster size of 720x592 and 720x496 for NTSC. Once the projects are opened the sytem reports the expected raster size in the project window.
