For better or worse operators at Murch's level do seem to influence the masses and also the manufacturers so that's one thing to consider. Whether you edit every time you blink may not be so important, but if enough people think that's the way to edit, well there is a ripple effect. If I had my way a fish wipe would be built into every edit system, unfortunately that never gained much traction. Now I online shows for the Outdoor channel and long for a preset fish wipe transition. I guess I was just a bit before my time. ;-)
