At a recent Tektronix seminar I attended it was brought up that most Theaters are using 2K digital projection and they haven't paid those down yet so don't expect 4K projection to become wide spread in the immediate future. I forget the percentage of 4K projection penetration in the theaters, I'll check the notes and see if I can find it there.
