price is about double, but performance is massive at: Read Bandwidth (128KB): 2150 MB/s Write Bandwidth (1MB): 1260 MB/s

Why would you pay that kind of money, not to mention using a PCIe slot?  You can just stick in any reputable SSD for a fraction of that cost, e.g.:


I've been running these as boot drives in 3 refurb'ed Z400 Avids since last fall and they are fine.

Can I use any of the HP Z Turbo Drives for my boot drive in a refurbished Z440 system I am looking to purchase?
B&H has a large price range on several models. Think the G2 PCIe SSD (256GB) should do fine. Or is there a specific part number Avid has blessed that I did not see on the Avid Configuration Guidelines for the Z440.
