RE: [Avid-L2] Cool Feature

 

HAAA!  I'm curious what makes it crash, too!!!  ;-)

My current issue is a lockup that appears to be caused by something called "QT OPServer" which seems to be an avid sub-routine.  I thought it was AMA-related, but my media composer hangs up regardless of whether I'm using AMA or not.  No one else at our facility has complained about it - so it's likely an issue with my specific install.    There's nothing about it on the knowledge base, but there were actually protools users complaining about it a year or so ago... that might be a coincidence.

And, actually, Resolve 12 doesn't seem to crash at all now that it's out of beta.  (knock wood.)

I'm curious what makes media composer crash? I admit I only offline in mine as I grade in resolve and finish in flame but I've had maybe one crash this year.
