I've been hearing rumblings about it for a while... here's an older article regarding Comcast's setup:
I should probably stopped being surprised by what wikipedia has articles about... but they have one on data limits! (has link to above ars' story)
I'm not sure switching to cable from DSL will get rid of data limits... but it ought to be a faster connection (so you can go through your data faster!)
