Re: [Avid-L2] XDCAM metadata

 

As a follow-up on this post, I found that in order for this metadata to
come through properly, the clips have to be AMA linked and not imported.
Also, I had to AMA volume mount directly from the XDCAM reader in order for
the bin headings to populate correctly. I saved the custom bin view, so now
I can use the setting for AMA linking single clips.

In my case, the bad news is that I've already imported hundreds of clips
for the project. The goods news is that Paul Sampson's workflow guide for
AMA XDCAM

explains a method for updating metadata on existing clips.
