Re: [Avid-L2] XDCAM metadata

But who on earth would put a card from camA into camB?

in 2015 the answer is EVERYONE - the same guys who shoot whatever fps the last guy used or who forget to record any guide audio, or who think exposure is optional on a red.

The quality of supplied rushes drops 6dB year on year.

Subject: [Avid-L2] XDCAM metadata

I regularly work on multicam projects with XDCAM footage shot in the field on PMW-200s. Sometimes TC is jam-synced; sometimes it's not. Sometimes the SxS cards get swapped between cameras and I get multiple cameras on a single card. The situation differs from production to production.

My question is this: Is it possible to pull the following metadata from XDCAM material in MC: Record date, Record Time-of-day, Camera serial number. These bits of info would make my life a lot easier when data wrangling and timecode juggling between heaps of clips.
