MC 8.2.x is the highest version for clients that wants to remain in 1080 or lower frame size.

Just for my own edification, I need an explanation of how these patch releases are numbered. For example, I just updated to MC 8.4.0. But this new patch release is v8.2.4? So does this v8.2.4 patch release update my very recent update to MC 8.4.0? Do I need to do this?
