I never edit in a title from the first frame. I always leave some handle at the head for trimming or a transition effect that might be needed in the future.

Right now, the title is edited in from Frame 1 of the title clip. It would be great if the In-point was, say, 5 seconds into the clip . . . or, even better, if there were an additional check-box that could be ticked ("Add Handle At Head [editor enters desired value in seconds"] . . . or possibly there could be a user setting like that instead.

It's a __very__ minor thing, I know, but all the little adjustments throughout the workday add up.

I agree, Ben. One of the things that FCP7 does (did) well. In User Prefs you set the default duration for stills (including titles), but the clip starts at 01:00:00 thus allowing easy transition at head or change of duration in the timeline.
