Completely understood. 24.0 will not solve that issue. However, if this lighting is locked to 50Hz there might be issues either way. You might want to touch bases with Job, who has more experience with European productions and frame rates.


On a recent commercial shoot onboard a boat, a veteran DP friend of mine measured over 130 different frequencies with the installed ship lighting. He chalked this up to the poor quality of current electrical fixtures being manufactured. He shot 23.98 using an Alexa and was able to dial in a shutter angle that "fixed" the issues on-screen.
