Re: [Avid-L2] MC 7.0.2 - error when trying to uninstall

I tried Terry's suggestion below about the privacy and security settings and that got me part way there.  But I still wasn't able to run a complete uninstall using the Avid uninstaller.

So I called Avid support and their response was almost immediate.  The support person walked me through a manual uninstall, consisting of deleting folders in different locations.  I then ran the 8.3.1 installer and it worked perfectly.  The whole thing took less than 15 minutes.  Good experience with Avid tech support.

Was it warm and fuzzy like after an OKI Dog?

Heh heh.  Actually, I was more relieved than anything else - I normally edit on a Mac Pro (tube), but I needed the laptop upgrade to go well for a presentation I am doing next week.

Okay what did the problem turn out to be and what was the solution?  Come on share with the group and please tell us how solving the problem made you feel.  Was it warm and fuzzy like after an OKI Dog?

There's a number of options. First:

Check your privacy and security settings on the mac. Allow any apps to be installed then try again. Worked for me.

If that doesn't fix it:
