again Terry, you need to click the 'show message history' link at the bottom left of your reply window.
This will reveal the message(s) in the thread and they become visible.
I'm replying using these exact steps to your message via 'Reply via web post'

So, unless I manually copy and paste text, the original information gets lost. And it gets even more difficult if done on a phone.
