Thanks John.
But Steve's correct.Right now there are more than 8 audio tracks in the Group Clip, and theScriptSync dialog window only has checkboxes for selecting 1 thru 8 :(
I don't recall any development on SS before it disappeared (she's on MC v4).I'm guessing that the engineers programmed 8 channels as the max because that was the max audio inputs off tape.
She's going to deal with it by manually syncing . . . but that sucks.I was hoping for a miracle console command or hidden setting . . .
I do appreciate the help all.Even with no solution it at least helps save a bit of my dwindling sanity ;)
Cheers,

John. I think that's ben's point. There are too many tracks to pull from than what scriptsync can deal with.
Sent from my iPhoneIt's been a while since I've worked with script sync but isn't there a setting to determine the audio tracks it uses for indexing to the transcript of the script? I don't recal multi groups having 14 tracks of audio. Ours generally had 2 or 4 tracks that toggle with the sources or could be set to a main audio track regardless of the video selected. I remember the AEs having to make some fake audio tracks so that all the sources in a multi group had the same number of audio tracks. IIRC they added two extra tracks to 2 channel sources to match with the 4 channel dvcprHD sources. They claimed mismatched source audio tracks created problems down the line but I don't know specifically what the issue was. At any rate I wonder if choosing a static main audio source for the multi group or group would dictate the audio script sync would use?

Hey gang,
I have a friend on MC v4, trying to ScriptSync (phonetically) some GROUP CLIPS that have something like 14 tracks of audio. ScriptSync only looks at 8 tracks (AFAIK). Anyone have any ideas on workarounds or Console commands . . . or ceremonial dances?
We both thank you in advance.
Cheers,
