Or do it in Marquee (part of Avid) instead of the straight Title Tool. When you launch Title Tool, you should get the option to use the Avid Titler or Marquee. Marquee can import images. It's a little harder to use than the Title Tool, but it's a lot more powerful.

Sure. Import the photo using the basic import file command. Cut the still into the timeline. Open the Effects Palette and drop a 3D effect on it. Open the Effects Editor and use the CROP function to crop the photo as you want it. Then open the Title Tool and use the WYSIWYG controls to add titles to wherever you want on the screen

Hi everyone.
I'm trying to make a title inside both program, and I want to import an image, and crop it the way I want, and then write the text inside that part of the image.
I could do that with Edius Pro titler, and now that i'm working the same project on avid, I want tu replicate it. But with no luck.Could someone tell me if it is possible to do this with any of the two programs?
BTW I'm using MC 8.3 with Symphony opt
Thanks!Dario
