Because Baselight is nowhere near as user friendly as Resolve and the exchanger will hopefully place your entire timeline in resolve for grading rather than makign you work a shot at a time in the AVX plugin.That's not an answer, but a different question.If Avid can provide a plugin for in-app grading (Fusion, Baselight), then works on conforming/roundtripping compatibility with another party, everyone can be catered for. Why would they work with BMD to compete with a similar solution they already have with FilmLight?
