The Nvidia GTX-680 was suggested to me around a year plus ago by the Resolve engineers. I believe there are now newer models. The Davinci engineers said the GTX-680 had a lot more cuda cores which made it way better than the Quadro cards and at a much better price IIRC. I went with the model that had mac compatibility built into it, the pc versions would work but no start up screen. Since you are on a PC that wouldn't be an issue. The other thing was that I had to hack the Adobe CS 6 suite to make it recognize the GTX-680 to use it for GPU processing. I've read that Adobe CC versions know to recognize the card without the hack. I would think the newer GTX-790 etc... might be even better. I have my on a macpro 12 core mid 2012 and run SNDX 6.5.4 and other versions without issue and I also have a BlackMagic SDI card for Resolve. I usually just unplug the NitrisDX unless I'm outputting to tape.

Looking to replace the Quadro4000 in one of our Z800s with something that will work with both Resolve and MC. Whats the least expensive option that will work with both and what is a better pricier option? There is a Nitris DX on this system.
Thanks,
KEN
