Certainly is your choice, but it's gaining more and more ground outside the broadcast niche. I love it. Fast and powerful as hell.
R11 was pretty terrible in terms of performance. It had problems playing back it's own bars on a 2014 Mac Pro. I hope R12 is better. I am using X almost exclusively now (Premiere job coming up...ugh) and the trip over to Resolve for color is pretty easy.
Let's see how long Avid let's Symphony wither on the vine....
