Yeah, the Opal's are nice but $1500 each. For a home studio that's not an investment, that's a mortgage payment. :-)

Event Opal looking very good. Well constructed drivers, cabinet too - "High Pressure Injection-Moulded Aluminium". Similar like small old series Genelec 1029A (wish is exelent choice - I never heard more accurate
and precise small monitor like this) In my work I don't change a lot of monitors brand. Old retro JBL (my first, but not nearfield), then Neuman, Klein & Hummel and Genelec.
Old series Genelec is good choice for the money. You can try second hand.
