JIm,
I heard the JBL 305's yesterday. Wow. That was pretty incredible considering that they were up against the KRK Rockit 5s and Event 20/20s. I think I'm leaning towards them. They're right in my price range
Has anyone had any bad experiences with the JBL305s?
Thanks
Mark

How big is your bank, Mark? :-)
I end up in a lot of different studios, and I do a fair amount of audio work. But I'm also a cheapass producer. Anyway, I'm impressed by the low-cost JBLs these days. Specifically, the JBL LSR305. Fairly flat and smooth (once broken in); Neither hyped nor fatiguing to my ears. $150/each.

I haven't heard any cheap monitors with 3-inch drivers that I've liked. But there are so many I haven't heard, and the $150-$300/pair range is so competitive…
What do others like?
