Ken - there was a recent thread on the list about SATA drives. I & several other users endorsed SATA drives in RAID arrays with USB3 interfaces for local storage. It's been rock solid for me on multiple MC systems typically running at around 1 gigabit/sec. I haven't needed more bandwidth than that, so YMMV.

So it's finally come time for us to replace our last remaining Avid RTR 320X SCSI storage on an MC8.2 Z800 system. Is SAS the way to go with an ATTO card? We want 24TB of fast storage that can work with bot MC and Resolve. Most of our other rooms are on Maxx Digital SAS storage except for our Macs that have Thunderbolt 2 storage.
