Re: [Avid-L2] Console Command??

There used to be a max limit you could enter in the import settings. May have changed.

For importing a still, instead of using the console why not go to Import Settings and set "Frame Import Duration"?  Or am I missing something?

As a workaround, you could export your title as a still, then re-import it as a matte key (w/alpha).  The length of the matte key ought to be affected by the slidelength command.

I remember being told in an Avid class that this command effected titles too but in my experience it does not.  I think that was in the 201 Effects class or some such thing.

Hi JFriend and John,

Yep, I was thinking "cmd_setImportSlideLength" too . . .
but I seem to remember a different command that let you set the default length of a new title to be longer than 2 minutes. Honestly, I could easily be misremembering, or confusing it with "cmd_setImportSlideLength." Argh… I think I've forgotten half of what I've learned over the years!

Thanks for trying to help me out guys.

Cheers,

Hey gang!

I can't remember the Console Command that allow you to set a new title that you make to something longer than 2 minutes. Is it slidelength-something (?), or is that just for imported stills?

Thanks for the help!

Cheers!
