Hey all,
I'm going over all the newness in 8.3 -- I finally upgraded ;)
In the What's New .pdf it appears to be a sub-heading of the the section pertaining to Frame Rates.
First, here's what it says:
– Two-Frame Safety –
This safety is especially useful when working with interlaced media to ensure that you maintain your cuts on the right field.

Question 1:
Does the Two-Frame Safety only pertain to high frame rates (47.95, 48, 50, 59.94, 60)?
Question 2:
Does this have to be enabled somewhere or is it a feature that's baked in?
Question 3:
I'm familiar with losing 1 frame on either side of a 35mm edit, but what's the scoop with this? Does it mean that when I select a frame to cut on, that it automatically backs-up 2 more? And, if I'm losing 2 frames at a chosen edit point, then how is it implementing and displaying this when I edit/trim? I'm thinking it may be like Dupe Detection (?).
Thanks for any insight gang!
Cheers,
Benjamin
