Could be a specific file in the sequence that doesn't deal well with "same as source." Is everything ABSOLUTELY DNxHD? If you have some AMA, this could happen. It also could be a bad render stopping it from working. Possibly an import of a ProRes file where you opted not to import as DNxHD?
Try to export NOT the whole sequence. Just see if you can export the first minute or the last minute or some minute in the middle. Does that work?
