Sounds like you do not have assist using reel numbers turned on and or it's turned on but not set to use file name. Are you in the same Resolve project you did the offline transcode to DNX 36? I'm still infantile with Resolve and spend my work time processing on Resolve 9. There you can right click on a project and apply the configuration to the current project. That would set you up the same way the offline media was created. Do you see the proper "Tape Name/Reel Number" on the camera original media in Resolve?

What 'switch' am I missing that allows either resolve to correctly identify the source file, or allows media composer to pass it through the AAF. The file names are unique - each camera has it's own ID, but obviously there are overlapping timecodes. (My initial assumption was that I forgot to 'commit multicam,' but that's not the case.)
