Re: [Avid-L2] capture tool not working

Wish you'd mentioned that to the guys who re-equipped our machine room last summer! Looking at trying an AJA IO XT next.

Blackmagic is poison to Avid Media Composer.

We use Blackmagic Ultrastudios with a Thunderbolt connection to a Mac.We have capture problems but the error message usually contains 'bob' in there somewhere if it is the BM hardware. Clicking outside Avid breaks  the link sometimes.

I have a client who needs a digibeta tape digitized. I said I'd run a test first to make sure the old deck still talks to my Avid. I put in old digi tape, capture tool saw it and controlled deck, all worked fine. I call and say bring it in. This morning I load tape and all I get is spinning ball when capture tool is up. Had to force quit 5 times and now I realize this is not going to work. I have not used the deck in years so not familiar with troubleshooting at this point. The error that eventually comes up is this.

AME ResourceManager::ReconfigMem0
Error [2315452453] jab;e to:
:egemdVDMInterface->EnsureSufficientBuffering.

Thanks Avid for being so informative of the issue. Anyone know what this means?

thanks
