Your import settings have to match the file. So if it's DNxHD145, bring it in at DNxHD145. If color space is 601/709 make sure your import settings match that. If any of the settings don't match the file then additional processing takes place and the import is slow. Otherwise, it's just rewrapping the quicktime file to MXF, which is why Fast Import is so fast.
