It really depends on what code has changed and where the changes are. One of the changes in this release that made this necessary was the deprecation of EDL Manager and Filmscribe and the addition of the List Tool inside of Media Composer.

The following are full installers for Mac and Windows.
Was it 8.2 that required 8.1 to be installed? I remember asking why 8.2 wasn't a full install on the Mac version when traditionally mac installers were always full installs but I never really understood why that release was different. Now it looks like 8.3 is a full install for both mac and windows. Is there a rhyme or reason to what is a full installer and what is a patch release these days?
