Mr. Steve,
I'm sure you've spent more time noodling with sapphire and BCC then I have but I was surprised recently to find that Sapphire doesn't appear to have a chroma key effect. At least I'm not seeing it, perhaps I'm missing the obvious but after a little googling it seems sapphire can help refine existing keys that are broken out like a traditional matte key with V3 key signal, V2 foreground and V1 background. Applying the Sapphire Make RGBA instead of Avid's matte key effect supposedly gives some ability to refine the edges and do things like light wrap. Given how I'm not a big fan of spectra matte if I already have a marginal chroma key from spectramatte I wonder what the makeRGBA sapphire effect would do to clean up the marginal spectramatte alpha channel? This is where BCC seems a bit easier to manipulate to me. This could be because I've spent more time with it but I like the one stop shop and multifilter check boxes over the breaking out of alpha channels required by sapphire.
I'd appreciate if someone can add more specifics to sapphire's ability to generate a chroma key or other types of key. Am I just missing this feature?
