We have BCC 8 running on some MC 8 systems and haven't seen issues yet. Since we are mostly finishing, we primarily need the plugin packages that match what our clients use in offline. It is difficult to justify purchasing plugins that we rarely use. So until our clients go BCC 9, we won't go there either for the most part.
And since BCC doesn't come free with MC anymore, I expect to see a lot fewer people using it. Which is too bad as there are some powerful things in there. I think most editors are used to the FCP cheap plugin concept and paying 2 grand for plugins doesn't sit well with them.
