There is no NDA for ACA members. Information is carefully controlled and delivered day(s) before the official announcements.
As for benefits, you get some of the news a bit faster than the rest, plus free meals and parties invites during the conference.
The sessions are interesting and delivered by well known Avid guys(Frank Capria comes to mind).

I would find that to be very challenging getting 1,300 NDA's out and enforced.
Even if that is the case, there was not one 'general' response like "yeah it's great but can't talk about it' or 'what a ripoff'. Started me wondering about that 1,300 number....
