The ACA is still a bit, umm, well, disjointed. For example, depending upon who you talk to, either the Executive Board or the individual groups are supposed to decide where to invest the ACA allotted portion of R&D bucks. Louis told me that it was the Products and Solutions group (of which I am a member) that makes that call. The Avid folks who liaison with us seem to think it's the Executive Board. I tried pushing for a resolution on this and got nowhere. So here we are, all this time later, and we still aren't directing our share of R&D dollars.
Does this make me feel particularly hopeful about the efficacy of the ACA concept? Not really.
