Depending on how your network is configured, have you tried turning off your firewall? My system's on a home network and behind the ADSL router from my local operator, which distributes the WAN link to my Linksys. Both the ADSL and Linksys have built-in firewalls, so my Mac's fw is OFF. I never see that msg.
Running 8.2 but also ran all vers from 6.x and it never happened.
