Re: [Avid-L2] Full Screen Playback on vertically arranged monitors?

Yes, the mouse moves correctly up to the monitor but the Avid 'Select Monitor' window will not move up. If I set the 2nd monitor arrangement to left or right of the main monitor, it works as expected.

What? Doesn't the cursor move on the external monitor?
If it does, the monitor can be selected as the fullscreen playback monitor. BTW, the blackmagic cards suck with Avid, better off with
an off the shelf Radeon. More responsive,no delay or weird problems when switching to different apps in and out of MC.

Roger,
I tried something similar on a Mac Pro with two grafics cards a few years ago. The Mac OS was ok with three monitors but Avid refused to acknowledge the existence of a third monitor. I gave up and installed a BlackMagic card.

One of my colleagues has set up several edit suites (for students) with  Panasonic monitors on the wall above the editing iMacs. We need to use these for full screen playback from Media Composer but if the Mac screen arrangement reflects the physical relationship of the monitors, it is not possible to move the Avid 'Select Monitor' box upwards on to the Pana monitor (it will only go left or right). As the second monitor is currently part of the desktop (I plan to get it rewired as a video monitor eventually), this is a PITA! Anyone got this to work? The FSB 'Select Monitor' box stubbornly refuses to move up off the editing GUI.
