Re: [Avid-L2] where to find Avid FX?

Avid FX is no longer bundled. It's discontinued, however Boris Red AVX still exists, and the latest version can be purchased for full price.  As you know, Avid FX is Boris Red rebranded.

If you have the installer from an old version it will still work.

I upgraded to 8.1 and my Avid FX is gone from my Effects Palette.

I tried the Avid Marketplace. Avid FX doesn't seem to exist.

I tried the Avid website, which we all know is a joke. You can not search for ANYTHING that delivers a result that makes any sense for Avid FX.

I tried going to the Avid FX AVX plugins page. There IS a link there to buy Avid FX, but - of course - the link is broken.

So here you have Avid - which is as close to broke as any company can be - ACTIVELY TRYING NOT TO SELL PRODUCTS that its customers have to PURSUE. This is the exact OPPOSITE of sales or marketing. You want our product? No. We don't want you to be able to buy it. We REFUSE to sell it to you. It's like asking to desperate ugly lonely girl to the prom and she turns you down.

AND on top of that, I'm on CUSTOMER support for the sole reason of trying to BUY something from them and I'm on hold for 41 minutes at this point.

42 minutes.

48 minutes.

Seriously, is Marianna the ONLY way that the entire WORLD can get any kind of action from Avid?

It's SO SO SO hard to be an advocate for this company and this product.

Is it too late for me to jump over to DS?
